ATM Addressing

• Network Service Access Point (NSAP) addresses, originally from ISO:

  • variable-length (between 7 and 20 bytes)
  • hopelessly cumbersome set of acronyms…
  • and to make it more confusing, there is a way to encode E.164 addresses in NSAP format
