Ethernet Multicast Addresses
Too many possible multicast subscriptions to store in cheap Ethernet hardware. Approaches:
- full promisc or multicast promisc (bad)
- use a “hash filter” (with collisions) to indicate group subscriptions
- only store a few which perfectly match
